Back in Port Moresby, after only 2 weeks
So I am back in Port Moresby after only two weeks in the village for my recreational leave which I take every two years. It is a privilege given to public servants with my airfares paid for and an allocation of K2000 travel expense courtesy of the department.
Anyway, I did not get any pictures because power is an issue but I managed to complete the task I set out to do - and that is continue with my family house in the village.
At this stage, we have put up the walls and placed all the flooring. However, my carpenter has suggested that we wait for the timber to dry before dressing it. My options are now to either bring the flooring to a mill to be planned or buy an electric planner.
I have set my eyes on buying a portable wood thickener which I have seen at Hardware Haus. However, it all depends on the budget now.
Now back to the topic of travels, when I went for leave in 2016 I managed to compile a short video which is posted on YouTube. I had more footage but that got lost with my computer when I got held up by criminals earlier this year - but that is another story.
I hope you enjoy this video.
And please give my video a thumbs up!

| Option 2: A electric hand planner should be able to do the same job. |
